永久连接密封件
静态系统使用的密封件通常被设计为永久的或完全紧固的。这些永久连接密封件只能采用破坏的方式进行拆卸。永久密封件常常和永久接头的生产方式一致。在许多情况下，焊接、接合或粘接可形成加固连接。当部件需要承受一定的压力（例如管道）时，主要采用这种密封件。

Unlösbare Berührungsdichtung (statisch)
Dichtungen für ruhende Systeme werden häufig unlösbar und absolut dicht ausgeführt. Diese unlösbaren Berührungsdichtungen können nur durch zerstörende Techniken entfernt werden. Dabei entspricht die Fertigung unlösbarer Dichtungen oft der unlösbarer Verbindungen. Sie werden vielfach stoffschlüssig durch Schweißen, Löten oder Kleben hergestellt. Verwendet werden sie vor allem dort, wo Bauteile Druck standhalten müssen (etwa Rohrleitungen).
Die Schweißnähte geschweißter Dichtungen müssen die Druckkräfte aufnehmen und sind entsprechend als Stumpfnähte auszuführen. Um dichte Löt- und Klebestellen herzustellen, sind enge Spaltmaße und gute Überlappung nötig. Stärkere Abdichtung, etwa für die Anwendung bei hohen Drücken oder wechselnden Temperaturen, wird durch Walzrillen kombiniert mit Dichtschweißen erreicht. Weitere unlösbare Dichtungssysteme sind Pressdichtungen und Schneidendichtungen.
Permanent contact seal (static)
Seals for static systems are often designed to be permanent and completely tight. These permanent contact seals can only be removed using destructive methods. Permanent seals are often produced in the same way as permanent joints. In many cases, welding, Soldering or bonding is used to create a Bonded connection. Such seals are primarily used when components need to withstand pressure (in the case of pipes, for example).
The weld seams of welded seals need to absorb the compressive forces and must therefore take the form of butt welds. Narrow gaps and good overlapping are needed to ensure soldered and adhesive joints are tight. Combining roller grooving with Seal Welding achieves the stronger sealing that is needed, for example, in the case of high pressures or fluctuating temperatures. Other permanent sealing systems include compression and edge seals.
