ISO

ISO标准集装箱是标准化的大型集装箱，可以堆叠在一起至少达到六层。集装箱和所装的货物一起，以涵盖陆运（卡车、货车）和水运一连串的运输方式进行装载。这就使货物的装卸、运输和储存变得更加简便。

ISO-Container

ISO-Container sind genormte Großraumbehälter, die in mindestens bis zu sechs Lagen übereinandergestapelt werden. Innerhalb einer Transportkette über Land (Lkw, Eisenbahn) und Wasser werden die Container samt der in ihnen befindlichen Waren umgeladen. Dadurch vereinfachen sie das Be- und Entladen, Befördern und Lagern von Gütern.

Jeder Container ist neben der Eigentümermarkierung mit einer eindeutigen Nummer gekennzeichnet, durch die sein Weg nachverfolgbar wird.

Unterschieden werden:

• Container für Seefracht nach Normen der Internationalen Seeschifffahrts-Organisation (IMO), die am häufigsten verbreitet sind. Sie sind acht Fuß breit sowie 20 oder 40 Fuß lang und entsprechen damit jeweils einer Twenty-Foot-Equivalent Unit (TEU) beziehungsweise Forty-Foot-Equivalent Unit (FEU).
• Container für Luftfracht nach Normen der International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

Hergestellt werden Container auch für spezielle Einsatzzwecke wie z. B. Kühl-, Tank- oder Autocontainer.

ISO container

ISO containers are standardised large containers that can be stacked one on top of the other in up to at least six layers. The containers, along with the goods they contain, are loaded from one mode of transport to another in a Chain of transport that can cover land (trucks, trains) and water. This simplifies the loading, unloading, forwarding and storage of goods.

Every container features an owner's mark and a unique number that can be used to track its progress.

A distinction is made between:

• Containers for ocean freight that comply with the standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and are the type most frequently used. They are eight feet wide and 20 or 40 feet long and thus correspond to a twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) or forty-foot equivalent unit (FEU).
• Containers for air freight that comply with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Containers are also manufactured for special purposes, such as refrigerated, tank and car containers.

Los contenedores ISO son contenedores grandes estandarizados que pueden ser apilados uno arriba de otro en hasta por lo menos seis capas. Los contenedores, junto con los artículos que contienen, son cargados de un modo de transporte a otro en una cadena de transporte que puede cubrir tierra (camiones, trenes) y mar. Esto simplifica la carga, descarga, entrega y almacenaje de artículos.

Contenedores para flete oceánico que cumplen con los estándares de la Organización Marítima Internacional (IMO) y son del tipo que se usa con mayor frecuencia. Tiene ocho pies de ancho y 20 o 40 pies de largo y, por lo tanto, corresponden a una unidad equivalente de veinte pies (TEU) o unidad equivalente de cuarenta pies (FEU).
