Der Volumenschwerpunkt entspricht bei homogenen Körpern dem Massenmittelpunkt.
Der Massenmittelpunkt kann bei bestimmten Körperformen (bzw. Systemen) außerhalb des Körpers liegen.
An einem System vektoriell angreifende Kräfte werden bezugnehmend auf den Massenmittelpunkt angetragen.
