Kathode (f)

Dem Werkstück steht die Elektrode (Kathode) gegenüber, die das Negativ der gewünschten Form darstellt.

Bei angelegter Kathoden-Anoden-Spannung (ohne Gate-Signal) geht der Thyristor zunächst auf die Blockierkennlinie.

Das Ersatzschaltbild besteht aus zwei gegenläufig geschalteten Dioden unterschiedlicher Dotierung, bei der an die gemeinsame Kathode (bzw. Anode) die Basis angeschlossen wird.

cathode (n)

An electrode (cathode) represents the negative of the desired shape.

When a cathode-anode voltage (without gate signal) is applied, the thyristor first goes to the blocking characteristic.

The equivalent circuit comprises two diodes connected in opposite directions and with different doping and the base connected to the common cathode (or anode).
