Oftmals wird hierzu auf eine Kombination mit einem P-Glied oder einem PD-Glied zurückgegriffen.

Bei einer konstanten Änderungsgeschwindigkeit des Eingangssignals ist das Ausgangssignal des D-Gliedes ebenfalls konstant.
