The calibration pin must line up with the far-left bore for the funnel-type grease nipple

Flat thread rolling uses two dies that feature a mating profile that matches the pitch of the desired thread, bevelled lead-ins and run-outs and a flat calibration section.

The sensor is designed as a voltage divider, which means a path-dependent voltage is generated on the moving arm. After prior calibration, this provides information about the path measured.
