The metallic melt flows into vertical or horizontal continuous casting moulds. This is where solidification starts.

Once the melt has been poured into the mould, solidification can be straight-walled, rough-walled and sponge-like (exogenous solidification) or shell-forming (endogenous).

Verfestigung (f)

Der hohe Verfestigungsexponent ermöglicht gleichmäßige Formänderungen und vermeidet Reißer.

Der Mittelteil des Werkstücks kann stärker verformt und eine bessere Kaltverfestigung erreicht werden.
